Jayashree Aravind is one of the most important female musicians in India. She is a Veena artist, but at present mainly a teacher for Carnatic vocal. Her Tanjavur instrumental style is known to be close to the vocal interpretation. She understands it, defies high virtuosity to dispense with superfluous and distracting from the basic melody flourishes. If you love the South Indian style of singing, you will truly enjoy playing this artist. Especially for Western listeners, this way of playing is very sensitive and catchy. Jayashree Aravind returns to the Nateschwara Theater for the second time in fourteen years. It is her only concert in Switzerland.
