Master classes are for advanced students of Bharata Natyam. A class, especially taught in performance art by someone who has expert knowledge and skill in a particular area, here it is in the art of Bharata Natyam, based on largeness of it’s repertoire, covering all the important subjects relating to Bharata Natyam like choreography, lyrics, Indian languages and pedagogic skill. Teaching is an inborne skill which needs to be developed.
Mrs. Vijaya Rao with her experiences of over 50 Years in all the above-mentioned subjects has educated and trained excellent Teachers and numerous dancers. It’s her will and never ceasing enthusiasm and last but not least she has untiringly been fulfilling the wishes for those who are seeking for this knowledge.
Course Nr. 1: widening of the repertoire of traditional Bharata Natyam dance themes, Bharata Natyam dance dramas (nrittya nataka) and choreography.
Course Nr. 2: Subjects are optional like: Teaching and Nattuvangam, Music (Vocal) for Bharata Natyam, Indian Languages.
The course can be joined anytime after 1th of May.
