Sanskrit, Hindi & Kannada
The language school of the Nateschwara Academy is open from Monday to Thursday. The school offers three Indian languages Sanskrit, Hindi and Kannada. The courses are designed not only to impart language skills, but to respond to student’s needs and interests (grammar, conversation, recitation).
— Sanskrit is an old scholarly language.
— Hindi is the Indian national language.
— Kannada is one of four South Indian languages.
All the courses can be customized based on your current level and can be undertaken as individual or group lessons.
For Adults and Children
course description : The course introduces the spoken and written form of Sanskrit. Step by step, students are introduced to the grammar and structure of the language. By means of light exercises (the students practice what they have learned)the application of the learned is practiced. At the end of the course the participant has basic knowledge of Sanskrit, can read and translate Sanskrit texts.
The course is divided into 3 sub-courses S1, S2 and S3. Each of the partial courses builds on the previous course. The course takes place in private lessons. This way, the needs and interests of the participant can be optimally addressed. Focus S1 : Reading and writing of the Devanagari script, forming simple sentences, verb conjugations; Focus S2 : participles, compounds, reading verses; Focus S3 : autonomous translation of Sanskrit texts or verses.
target audience: The course appeals to those who want to get a taste of a new language or learn the background of Indian words.
conditions: The course does not require any prior knowledge.
course start : The course is designed as one-to-one lessons, so interested parties can start a new course at any time.

For Adults and Children:
Optionally, this course can also be accompanied by a simple introduction to Sanskrit. The texts are then not only recited, but also explained in terms of content, by showing how the verses are composed linguistically.
This course usually takes place in one-to-one lessons. Group lessons are possible if requested.
target audience : The course appeals to those interested in Sanskrit (,also) who are interested in traditional recitation and classical Sanskrit texts.
conditions : Basic knowledge of the Devanagari script (can also be learned in the course upon request) is an advantage. Grammatical knowledge is not required.
course start : The course is designed as a one-to-one lesson and can therefore be started at any time. The course times are set at the beginning of the course.

course description : The course treats(teaches) the Indian national language Hindi in writing and grammar (,also)and teaches participants to conduct (compose)simple conversations. The course also touches on cultural topics that help to make the language more lively and practical. The introductory course is divided into 3 partial courses H1, H2 & H3. Each of the partial courses builds on the previous course. Then a conversation course can be taken (see Further Hindi Conversation). Main focus H1 : basic knowledge in reading and writing, building of basic vocabulary and sentence structure; Focus H2 : Different verb times, building the conversation, expanding the vocabulary; Focus H3 : Development of grammar knowledge, deepening in conversation.
target audience : The course is for anyone who wants to get to know Hindi in one form or another, be it for private or professional use.

course description : This course is an interactive lesson in which students have the opportunity to test their language skills in Hindi in a relaxed atmosphere. In role-plays, scenes from everyday life and various conversational situations are recreated in the group
target audience : The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in oral practice and wants to test or improve their language skills.
conditions : The course requires basic knowledge of the Hindi language. Participation is also possible without prior course attendance at the Nateschwara Academy.

course description : The course introduces into the spoken and written South Indian Kannada language. Step by step, the students are introduced to the structure of the language and the writing. By means of light exercises (the students can practice what they have learned)the application of the learned is practiced. At the end of the course, the participant has basic linguistic knowledge in Kannada and can read and write Kannada texts.
target audience : The course appeals to those who want to get a taste of a new language or are interested in South India.
conditions : The course does not require any prior knowledge.
