Takashi Ando was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and studied mechanical engineering in Tokyo. For more than 10 years, he practiced Kendo (Japanese martial arts with sword). Takashi had his first contact with Indian culture in his twenties, through which his interest in Buddhist statues and Buddhist philosophy grew. In 2000, he started a job in Baden and joined the Nateschwara Academy a year later.
About his dance studies at Nateschwara, he says: “The atmosphere of the dance school, the strictly traditional and land-related way, often makes me feel as if I am in my homeland, and it is for me these moments of regeneration where I can forget about everyday troubles of life as an Asian in Europe. My dance teacher, Vijaya Rao is one of the few who can create such an atmosphere. “
